Transitional Living
From restoring physical health through NTR detoxification to our extended care program, Synergy offers an exclusive residential treatment program no other can match. This is not merely sober living. Our program allows you to transition from initial sobriety back into the community with the continued support of Synergy Treatment and the professional assistance of an assigned drug and alcohol counselor.
This is where the tools you learn in initial treatment are applied in real life. There is more freedom and less supervision during this phase, but with this freedom comes responsibility and the stress that accompanies it. We require you to actively seek employment, continue education or volunteer in the community as well as attend 12-step meetings on a daily basis. We don’t require you to do this alone.
Staying sober requires a new way of living. Even making the necessary changes to remain sober and build a better life can be difficult to handle without a crutch. Learning the local transportation schedule, buying a vehicle, beginning a new job, continuing education – all of these situations can create anxiety and stress. We provide you with the support and information you need to make these changes and cope with them in a healthy manner.
We offer resume-building, credit repair, continuing education, techniques for anger management, and improving personal relationships as just a few examples of the continued education you’ll receive. You’ll meet with process and discussion groups twice a week to discuss current obstacles or frustrations and how to handle them. In addition, you’ll meet with an assigned drug & alcohol counselor twice a week for one-on-one counseling and house dinners.
At Synergy Recovery, our transitional living clients are an inherent part of our extended family. It is extremely rewarding to watch the transformation process as you gain employment, repair and restore family relationships, and become a successful member of the community.
